This course is aimed at total beginners and requires no previous knowledge of clay. The sessions are over 3 hours long each week and is great for building confidence and a calm sense of wellbeing as well as good dexterity and problem solving skills.
We use a special terracotta clay that dries over time when left uncovered, so no need for a kiln.
Working in unison, I will begin with a structured step-by-step programme, teaching the methods of hand-building your sculpture from scratch, and then the techniques to sculpt the head, shoulders, and facial features using your fingers and some simple tools.
Every Tuesday afternoon, from 12th March until 21st May (term time) 12pm until 3pm at Vicars Cross Community Centre.

Payment must be made in full, in advance to confirm your booking and a confirmation letter will be emailed on receipt of payment via the secure cgacourses.square.site which also offers an option to pay by instalments via ClearPay.
If, for any reason, you are unable to start the course and wish to withdraw, please inform me at your earliest convenience so that your place may be offered to someone else. Refunds are time-limited as follows:
1 month in advance - 100% refund
2 weeks in advance - 50 % refund
1 week in advance - 25% refund
Regrettably, I will not be able to issue a refund if you are unable to make all the sessions or decide to drop out at any point during the 10 weeks as I will have already bought all the materials and paid the hall hire fees.
If I am unable to run the course, I will notify you by email as soon as possible and your payment will be refunded in full soon after. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
