Fractured Portraits

Part of what drives me as an artist is my fascination with the human condition and trying to find out what makes us tick via the visual study of people as a vehicle to articulate what I would find almost impossible to express in words.

Examining our differences juxtaposed against our similarities is a particular area of interest that has led to the creation of these artworks.

Both have begun with collaged images constructed from interesting faces found in magazines that I have deconstructed and reassembled to create another image as a jumping-off point for the subsequent finished works.
