I titled this one 'Nature Boy' as the face was more male and the eyes comprise mainly images of birds and bees and other creatures. The strip below shows a progression from the drawing through to the finished work and the slideshow gives a closer view of each image, although the quality of the progress shots aren't the best unfortunately, due to my rubbish camera phone!

This work began life as a continuous line drawing of my own face and went onto to develop into a full blown mixed media work comprising collage and paint.
I made it in much the same way as 'Chameleon', using some cut snippets of glossy magazines but also coloured tissue paper, to build the colours in thin semi-transparent layers.
I had no real plan other than to keep pushing on until I was satisfied or until I had overworked and ruined it! Thankfully, a face I liked emerged from the chaos and so I decided to bring it to a finish.
