This illustration started under the microscope. I found a small dead spider and took lots of pictures of it using my digital microscope which inspired me to make a detailed digital study of it using my tablet and ArtRage 5. This illustration later inspired a large scale painting in oil onto an OSB panel.
The slideshow shows a timelapse of the progress from the initial drawing through to the finished work but you can also get a closer look at each stage by clicking the far left image on the strip at the bottom of this page and toggling through to the end.
